In the words of Stephanie Tanner..."how rude!"

I just have to do one small vent....I was at the mall the other day, baby and stroller in tow, not to mention a few shopping bags as well...I am about to walk out the huge double door exits out the mall and I'm almost through the first door when people coming into the mall sneak in MY doors and cut me off!!! Normally I'd be like whatever...but they know they didn't press the big button that makes both doors open for people who need extra help...yet they still continue going through the door making ME and my load stop and wait for them!!!! And it's even worse when they do the whole "oh sorry" look with a half smile...I'm like can't you see I am the one who has a baby, stroller and shopping bags???????? GRRRRRRR...So you just wanted to say YOU PEOPLE SUCK!!!!! Okay I feel better now...thanks for listening!!

5 months old today

My sweet boy is 5  months old today. Where does the time go? It feels like yesterday I was in the hospital with him. I am trying to cherish this time when he is a little baby...as he will be much bigger before I know it. Hunter LOVES his Sophie Giraffe(thanks Gramma BS), he also likes toys that squeak a lot! He gets ticklish right on his neck under his ears. He likes rice cereal, sweet potatoes, peaches, pears, pretty much anything I have tried to give him, he likes! He sleeps on his belly almost always, except for lately sometimes he sleeps on his side. I think he is teething because he will biting my fingers and anything else he can get a hold of. I can also see two little tiny teeth on his lower gums. They haven't broke the surface yet but look like they will anytime now. He is getting more fun everyday and I love him more and more!

Another recent purchase we made is our Sony Baby Call monitor for Hunter. I didn't get one right away because I really wasnt' sure I needed one. He has been sleeping in his own crib and room for about 2 months now and since I'm afraid I can't hear him from our room, I have been sleeping on the bed we have in his room. As much as I like sleeping near him I think we both keep each other from getting a better nights sleep. If I move he may hear me and wake up or vice versa. So after doing some research I picked the Sony Baby Call monitor and ordered it on Amazon with my free prime membership 2 day shipping! I love Amazon prime! Anyways, we have had it a couple of nights now and the sound is crisp and clear and it's very user friendly. I decided against a video monitor because I really didn't see the point of it and I have heard crazy stories of people seeing other babies on their monitors!!!

Hunter has had a little cough since last night and seems to be a little congested. Poor little guy, I can tell he is so frustrated with all the coughing. So today I went to Target and got him a cool mist humidifier. I got him a cute little penguin one! He is sleeping in his room now and the little penguin is doing his thing! Please penguin, help my baby out!!!

Dr visit

Today we took Hunter to the specialist about his noisy breathing again. She decided it was still best to go forward with the procedure at the Children's Hospital. His weight gain is good and everything but if he were to get sick and his airway was blocked even more it could be dangerous. So he will have a procedure called Microlaryngoscopy and Bronchoscopy (MLB) done in mid February. If there is no blockage like a cyst etc then that is good and his breathing issue will go away on his own as he grows. If there is something there the doctor can remove it during the procedure. It freaks me out because Hunter will have to go under general anesthesia! I know babies go through this like this all the time but I can't help worrying because HE'S MY PRECIOUS BABY!! So we have a few more weeks until it's time for this to happen, until then I know I will be worrying!! I can't help it, I just want it to be over with and Hunter to not have to ever be in a hospital again!!! Keep him in your prayers please!

Is it possible to feed a baby with out getting everything messy??????? I don't think so...until I figure something better out...Hunter, I am feeding you in your diaper only! 

4 month check up!

Hunter had his 4 month check up the beginning of the month but I wanted to talk about it anyways! I have just been busy with family visiting etc so I never got to update that appt. Hunter was 11.3 lbs, which put him in the 5th percentile. He was actually falling off the growth chart =( . The Dr and us decided to add formula to each of his feedings. If he is gaining better with that change then I will stick to that. I was kinda sad that breast feeding was coming to a slow down but I will do whatever is best for Hunter. Got to get some meat on that boy! The Dr also said we could start giving Hunter rice cereal. I was hesitant at first since I kind of wanted to wait until 6 months but she was fine with us starting now. We also made an appt to see the Dr again in exactly 2 weeks to check on Hunter's weight gain. After that appt we went right to the store and got some rice cereal. I was excited to try the first solid food feeding with little man....He did quite well and has been a pretty good eater since then. 

Fast forward 2 weeks....I could tell Hunter had gained weight as his clothes were a bit tighter and he just seemed heavier to hold. We were right, Hunter was now 13.8 lbs!!!!! That's right, he gained 2 pounds in two weeks!!! That was awesome!!!! The Dr was quite happy with his weight gain and that now puts him back on the charts in the 25th percentile! It was a relief in that now we know there isn't something going on that was causing the lack on weight gain...he can gain weight now problem. I guess when I thought he was eating the whole time while nursing he was only half the time and not getting enough maybe? He has another check up with the specialist on the 27th for his noisy breathing. Her only concern was his weight, so maybe this will show that he doesn't need any procedure done??!!! I will update after that appt. In the mean time, here are some pics from Uncle Kyle's visit and Grandpa Bynum's visit....and some random cuteness from today!
